Weed was my life

1inI was addicted to weed in university, to the point that I would sometimes smoke two to three times per day.

I wouldn’t go to lectures because I didn’t have the capacity to do so, having had smoked the day before. But then, I would smoke again and the cycle would repeat itself. My studies were failing, which deeply affected my mother. I knew I had to stop, but I couldn’t.

My mother kept praying for me to be free from this addiction. She kept coming to the Addiction Cleansing Therapy on Sundays at the UCKG HelpCentre on my behalf and kept persisting for my freedom. My life reversed during the Get Clean Event. Since that day, I haven’t touched weed again. My mother is happy, but I am even happier and I don’t need anything to replace it.
